READ, WRITE, PLAY AND LEARN:  Teaching Science and Literacy using Fun, Hands-on Learning Activities for Children

A Workshop for Childcare Providers, Preschool Teachers, and Kindergarten Teachers.

  • Learn new large group, small group and individual activities that will support children’s cognitive development.

  • Learn how to incorporate non-fiction books and writing in your learning environment.

  • Learn what the current brain research is saying about the importance of fun, hands-on learning activities.

A certificate from The Registry will be provided for childcare providers. 0.6 CEU certificate will be available for $3 fee

Terrie Schmoldt

  • Terrie has been a classroom teacher for 18 years, and has her Reading Teacher & Reading Specialist degrees.  She has taught Head Start through second grade,  the majority of which was in kindergarten.  She enjoys presenting fun ideas and activities that teachers or child care providers can use in their own learning environments. The activities also integrate content areas and involve hands-on experiences,  both of which promote greater learning.
