Accommodations are determined by trained SSWD staff through the student’s documentation of a disability and an interview process.  UW-Platteville provides reasonable accommodations that are individualized and based on the nature of the disability and the academic environment. The purpose of academic accommodations is not to ensure success, but to provide access and equal opportunity.

Some of the accommodations provided at UW-Platteville are:

  • Testing Accommodations
  • Assistive Technology
  • Document Conversion – examples are books in audio or electronic format and print enlargement
  • Notetaking – volunteer notetakers are used at UW-Platteville
  • Recorded Lectures
  • Preferential Seating
  • Sign Language Interpreter
  • Adaptive Equipment
  • Captioning

If you are a student with a temporary disability, please contact Student Health Services.
