UW-Platteville students must work with their academic advisor to choose courses for their term abroad and complete the International Study Course Approval Form while they are applying for an education abroad program. Academic advisors can advise students on the best courses to take and how the credits can transfer back to fulfill major, minor, general education, and/or elective credit towards students’ degree.  The following lists may help students and their academic advisors to identify appropriate courses to take abroad and how they can transfer back to UW-Platteville.

Approved Course Equivalencies

The following course equivalencies have been established by the College of EMS, the Department of Biology, and the Department of Geography.  It is not necessary for students to get these select established equivalencies re-approved by the department heads on the International Study Course Approval Form.

Previously Approved Course Equivalencies

The following previously approved equivalencies were approved to fulfill major, minor, general education, or elective requirements for previous participants.  Please note that this is not a guarantee that it will be approved again as it will depend on the student’s degree requirements and the discretion of their academic advisor. This is meant merely as a guideline for students and their academic advisors, and students will need to complete the International Study Course Approval Form for all course transfer.
