Another feature is now available on the UW-Platteville Desire2Learn course management system. Instructors and students are now able to turn on Notifications to receive a periodic email summary of activity or instant notifications as things happen in the course. The activity summary content and frequency can be adjusted in the Notifications settings which can be found by clicking on your name at the top right corner of your Desire2Learn Home page.

By adjusting the Notifications settings, you can select whether you’d like to receive notifications via email or not, and change the email address where notifications are sent. Choose daily summary and a time to receive the summary of all of the activity in your Desire2Learn course for a 24-hour period. If you’d like to know when students post to the discussion forum, click the checkbox for Instant Notifications on this specific item.

Notifications can be managed to exclude certain courses, so you are only getting the information you need.

If you need additional help using the Desire2Learn Notifications feature, contact ICET at 342-1792 or email
