This guide includes some specific information about the international student population at UW-Platteville and some information about working with international students in general.
This guide will help academic advisors understand the student visa regulations with which international students on an F-1 student visa must comply in order to maintain legal status in the U.S. and know under what circumstances international students are required to make an appointment with the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) office.
This document illustrates the difference between two different types of F-1 visa employment authorizations: Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT).
