Welcome to Melcher Hall

Melcher Hall, named after Milton L. Melcher and built in 1966, is home for approximately 255 men. Melcher Hall residents are active in numerous campus and community events. Melcher Hall residents enjoy a recently renovated Party/Game Room and basement, which includes a newer kitchen for special meals, television area, and meeting area.

Greetings from Melcher Hall!
It is finally May! We have been through Homecoming, Spring Break, Melcher Madness and countless key exchanges. Summer is right around the corner! I have seen so many of you grow and mature. There is still a long way to go.

Finals week is fast approaching. Remember, don’t panic, but don’t be too relaxed. Fit some time in your study schedule for activities that will help you to focus. Resist the urge to party on your off days. Make sure that you get enough sleep so that you aren’t burned out during the exam. Also don’t forget to utilize campus resources to help you stay focused and do your best.

Melcher Hall is really happy that we had the opportunity to serve you this year. The staff is always thinking of new ways to get our residents involved and to make your experience in Melcher enjoyable. I want to take this time to congratulate all of our graduating seniors, I wish you all well in your endeavors outside of UW-Platteville; as for the rest of you, have a good summer, I’ll see you soon.
