PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville College of Liberal Arts and Education recognized the following faculty, staff and alumni at the LAE Arts and Letters Hall of Fame and Recognition Banquet held Oct. 4 in the Harry and Laura Nohr Gallery, Ullsvik Hall. 

Daniel Leitch

Dr. Daniel Leitch, Teacher Education
Excellence in Professional Development Award

The award is given annually to recognize those tenured or tenure-track faculty or academic staff members who accomplish excellence in professional development activities such as research, writing or involvement in professional organizations, performances or artistic productions. 

Jennifer Newendyke

Jennifer Montana Newendyke, Middle Level Education
Distinguished Educator Award

The award is given annually to recognize alumni who exhibit excellence in their careers.

Rex Reed

Rex Reed, Criminal Justice
Professional Achievement Award

The award recognizes alumni who have noteworthy career success, outstanding scholarship and/or demonstrated humanitarian commitment.

Amanda Coorough

Amanda Coorough and the staff at Richland County Health and Human Services 
Friend of the College Award

The award recognizes those who promote the college, provide opportunities for the students, assist the faculty and aid in the implementation of technology.

Doug Dill

First English Lutheran Church; award accepted by Doug Dill
Friend of the College Award

The award recognizes those who promote the college, provide opportunities for the students, assist the faculty and aid in the implementation of technology.

Thomas Hickey

Thomas Hickey, Emeritus, English
Arts and Letters Hall of Fame Induction

The award is given annually to recognize and honor faculty, staff, retirees, alumni and friends who have contributed to arts and letters.
