Missoula Children's Theatre returning to UW-Platteville

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The Heartland Festival will return this summer for its 12th season and the festival will once again welcome the Missoula Children’s Theatre to the Center for the Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Two MCT performances are scheduled: “The Princess and the Pea,” June 10-15, and “Pinnocchio,” July 8-13.

Rehearsals for MCT productions take place on Monday through Thursday mornings during the weeks of June 10 and July 8. A more detailed rehearsal schedule will be available following the Monday audition.

Performances will be held Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 11 a.m. in the Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall at the Center for the Arts. There will also be a dress rehearsal on Fridays at 3 p.m., followed by dinner for the participants.

Optional post-rehearsal workshops with MCT directors will be offered.

The rehearsals, performances, Friday meal, optional workshops and two free tickets to “Fiddler on the Roof,” are included in the $85 registration fee.

The MCT’s International Tour Project is one of the largest theatre programs in the United States.

Registration for the program will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3.
