Time to shine: UWP homecoming events get brighter

PLATTEVILLE-Shine and sparkle for Glamour and Glitz Day should contrast with the gloom of a gray and rainy day as the University of Wisconsin-Platteville homecoming events slide into the final stretch.

Today, Thursday, Oct. 3

Dress-up day calls for as much glamour and glitz as the traffic will allow.

At 3 p.m. there will be games by the Pioneer Student Center patio, and at 5 p.m. the outhouse races start in front of Doudna Hall. Contestants vie to be the fastest as they complete the course while occupying an outhouse.

Tonight at 8, the homecoming court and king and queen will be crowned during the coronation in the Beaux Arts Room of the Ullsvik Center. A deejay dance will highlight the evening.

Friday, Oct. 4

Dress up day calls for gear representing your group for Team Spirit Day.

All charity drive items are due by 5 p.m. at the Pioneer Information Center front desk. All items must be in boxes.

Grab a microphone at 7 p.m. for karaoke in the Pioneer Crossing.
