UW-Platteville will host a panel discussion and forum entitled “Crisis in Ukraine” on Tuesday, March 11 in 136 Doudna Hall from 7-9 p.m. Sponsored by the Department of Social Sciences, the Social and Environmental Justice Program and Students for Peace and Justice, the forum’s purpose is to inform students and members of the Platteville community about the development that is taking place in a part of the world many people know little about. As an alumnus of UW-Platteville, Becky Ambrosy took advantage of the Pioneer Launch Lab as a way to gain tools for starting her massage therapy business. The Pioneer Launch Lab is an entrepreneurial setting providing an environment for students, recent alumni and faculty for the development of their business ideas. Joelle Doye, a UW-Platteville alumna and editor of The Democrat Tribune in Mineral Point, Wis., was one of five people working in the Wisconsin newspaper industry named “Future Headliners” by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation.
