PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has created an online certificate in engineering design. Although separate from the Master of Science in Engineering degree program, the credits earned with the certificate may be applied toward completion of the master’s program.

“Certificates at the master’s level can provide excellent career value in a relatively short period of time,” said Dawn Drake, executive director of UW-Platteville’s Alternative Delivery Systems. “In today’s business world, these experiences can open doors to advanced career opportunities.”

UW-Platteville has educated engineers for more than 150 years and has earned a national reputation as a prestigious engineering institution. Its online master’s program develops skills in advanced mathematics, engineering management, technical communications and computer applications.
