Quadcopters are a growing point of interest for students involved in the Society of Physics Students at UW-Platteville. A subgroup of students in the organization work directly with the quadcopters and fly them in competitions against other university-organized teams. About 30 students are engaged in the Society of Physics. About 10 of those students are involved with the quadcopter group. Read more...

Angela Udelhofen, UW-Platteville assistant chancellor for Admission and Enrollment Services, was recently named the new president elect of the Wisconsin Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. As president elect, Udelhofen’s main role is to work with the standing committees and local arrangement committee to plan the annual conference that will take place in November 2014. Read more...

The Potosi Brewery hosted its fourth annual Bike Tour, 5K and 10K Walk/Run to benefit the UW-Platteville Community Scholarship Program, Potosi Foundation and Southwest Tech Scholarship Program. The Pioneer Sportsman’s Club at UW-Platteville traveled to the University of Kentucky for the regional championships in Wilmore, Ky. The Pioneer Sportsman’s Club placed second out of 10 in division 2 for American Trap with a score of 469/500. Read more...
