Our Vision

We strive for co-curricular involvement in the campus community by providing a challenging and supportive environment which leads to success.

Our Mission

The mission of the Pioneer Involvement Center is to create collaborative, co-curricular programs, events, and processes supporting student leadership and involvement opportunities contributing to student retention and encouraging diversity.

Our Purpose

Dedicated to student development, while creating/promoting cultural, educational, social, recreational, and governance opportunities for involvement, we:

  •  advocate for all students
  •  provide support, challenge, and vision in a safe environment
  •  advise on policies, procedures, and resources
  •  educate the campus community about student involvement
  •  build appreciation for diverse cultures, people, and points of view

Our Philosophy

We are dedicated to the education and development of students primarily through their co-curricular involvement. We will:

  •  confront sexist, racist, homophobic, and hateful behaviors
  •  provide accurate information and effective services
  •  support the Platteville community through volunteerism
  •  engage in professional associations, conducting research, writing, and encouraging students to explore career paths in the profession
  •  model and promote ethical behavior
  •  instill a Pioneer spirit and loyalty to UW-Platteville
  •  build social structures with elements of fun!
