  1. We will immerse ourselves in UW-Platteville's culture, campus, and context.
  2. We will propose and incorporate sustainable strategies to meet campus needs.
  3. We will establish a collaborative approach to the planning process that encourages cross fertilization of disciplines and departments.
  4. We will promote a spirit of common understanding by revealing physical campus needs across the full spectrum of the University—and promoting options that solve multiple concerns at a time.
  5. We will include small-group meetings with key drivers of change (faculty, administrators, staff, students, community leaders, municipal departments, and neighborhood stakeholders).
  6. We will also include large-group meetings at critical steps in the planning process. At the transition points between assessing existing conditions, determining future needs, developing options, and defining implementation strategies, we will engage the university and Platteville community in open house meetings and town hall forums.
  7. The Comprehensive Campus Master Plan Report will create a compelling, integrated, and sustainable vision for facilities, open space, circulation, parking, and utilities.
