An Invitation to Join in UW-Platteville's Campus Planning Process

From the time students arrive on campus, participate in desired programs, and leave with a degree, their entire experience should be planned for and enhanced. The Campus Master Plan for UW-Platteville will be all about creating and strengthening a sense of purpose, sense of place, and sense of learning community—the experience associated with the people, programs, teaching, research, student life, and physical environment offered by UW-Platteville. A sustainable university for UW-Platteville will be crafted by the integration of facilities, open space, and infrastructure. This is your invitation to participate, become invested, and own the Campus Master Plan as it guides future growth at UW-Platteville.

The campus Mission, Vision, Strategic Plan, and Goals will provide the foundation for our planning efforts. Our planning efforts will be based on sustainable strategies: assess the condition of the current campus; identify inspiring physical solutions; evaluate costs; and recommend implementable strategies to create the Comprehensive Campus Master Plan.

This Master Plan—the first for the campus in over 40 years—will acknowledge positive UW-Platteville accomplishments to date; develop a vision for future campus growth; and integrate the campus with its neighborhoods and surrounding community. Because this new Comprehensive Campus Master Plan must be understandable, defensible, and comprehensive, the process must be a collaborative one. Along with the University Executive Committee and the Advisory Committee, we hope to engage the entire campus community in developing and informing the Final Master Plan.
