Shots Fired

Shots fired on campus...the last thing you'd expect to hear. The odds of being involved in a situation like this are similar to your chances of being struck by lightning. The possibility of being involved in an active shooter incident on campus may be remote, but the consequences can be catastrophic. That's why it makes good sense to spend some time now thinking and preparing for it.

It's a sad fact that shooting incidents do happen on college campuses. Because of that, there has been a dramatic increase in preventive measures, such as campus-wide violence prevention programs, efforts to identify "troubled" students, and the development of threat management teams.

As part of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville's ongoing prevention efforts, we have purchased the licensing to permit the online viewing of "Shots Fired On Campus - When Lightning Strikes". Please click the link below to gain access to the video using your NetID and password.
