Brockert Hall: Alisha Slowey
Hello Pioneers! My name is Alisha Slowey and this will be my fourth year as the Resident Director of Brockert Hall.
I am originally from Milton, WI but truly feel like Platteville is my home. In 2008, I completed my undergraduate degree at UW-Platteville in Communication Technologies with an emphasis in Public Relations. As a student, I gained valuable leadership experience working in a variety of capacities on campus. I worked for the housing department as an RA in Hugunin Hall and as an SA in Wilgus Hall. I am currently working on my master's degree in Counseling Education here on campus with plans to graduate this spring.
For the last few years, I have had the privilege of advising the Residence Hall Association (RHA) which is the student governance group within the halls that has primary responsibility for the formulation and review of policies concerning student life, services and interests in the residence halls. I am thrilled to be working with students whose focus is improving residence hall life for all campus residents.
In my free time I enjoy staying active on campus by attending campus events and activities and being outdoors; visiting state parks, kayaking, biking, hiking, snowshoeing- any excuses to get out and enjoy the great outdoors! I am looking forward to another great year and the opportunity to meet more fantastic students.

I look forward to meeting all newcomers to McGregor as well as reconnect with the returners to the hall!
In addition to my duties as a Resident Director I have had the opportunity to work in the First Year Experience Office here on campus. It is in the First Year Experience Office that I get to work specifically with first year students and aiding them in the transition to UW-Platteville. I act as a liaison between the Department of Residence Life and FYE to provide resources and support for our residents as well as Resident Assistants.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy traveling around the country, reading, finding new and fun music, and spending time outside.

Hello! My name is Chris Hein and this is my second year as the Resident Director of Pickard Hall. I am originally from David City, Nebraska. For my undergraduate and graduate studies I attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney where I received BS degrees in Psychology and Sociology and a MS Ed. with an emphasis in Student Affairs. Porter Hall: Coree' Burton
Hello! My name is Coree Burton and I'm the Porter Hall Resident Director. This will be my fifth year as the Porter Hall RD. I truly enjoy the college environment and helping students make the most of their college experience.
I'm originally from Detroit, Michigan and a graduate of Central Michigan University. I have a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and two minors (one in Art and one in Media Design, Production, and Technology). While at CMU, I was involved in several Residence Life endeavors such as being a Multicultural Advisor in the residence halls, serving as a coordinator of a Leadership Camp program, working with the First Year Experience program for first year college students, as well as volunteering as an Alternative Breaks site leader. I am currently working on my master's degree in Student Affairs, which is making my actual work experience even more worthwhile.
During my time at UW-Platteville, I've worked within the Housing department, as well as collaborated with other departments on-campus, to help educate students on various topics and issues including leadership, diversity, mental health and alcohol awareness.
A lot of learning during the college years comes from outside the classroom and some of it from the residence halls. I want to make sure that students leave here with the knowledge and resources that are needed to be successful when they leave college and head out into the real world. I am very optimistic about this year and I know that the staff and residents of Porter Hall are going to do some great things this year.
Feel free to stop by my office, call me at 608.342.3230 or email me at burtonco@uwplatt.edu.
RounTree Commons: Trapper Mitchell
Hey everyone, my name is Trapper Mitchell and this is my seventh year as a Resident Director at UW-Platteville. I enjoy spending time outside and going to the various campus events that are happening here at Platteville. I believe that Platteville has a lot to offer both students and staff from both near and far.
I am originally from Elm Creek, Nebraska population 850. For my undergrad, I went to the University of Nebraska at Kearney where I received my Bachelor's degrees in History and International Affairs. I also received my graduate degree from UW-La Crosse in Student Affairs Administration. While in my undergrad, I started as the Hall Council president which led me to applying to become a Resident Assistant. I believe that this choice of being involved in my hall council started me on my path to where I am today. After serving as a RA for two years, I then was hired on as an Assistant Hall Director. Besides my work in student housing, I was a campus ambassador/tour guide, member of the student senate, vice president of the history club, member of Phi Alpha Theta and data processor for the office of Financial Aid among other student organizations.
After graduating, I became a Resident Director at the University of Nebraska at Kearney where I was in that position for 4 years. I truly enjoy helping students adjust to college life and finding out who they really are.
I think its important for new students to get involved in whatever they can to help make those connections to campus. I truly believe that everyone can find something for them on our campus, they just have to look!
This year I am excited to be serving as the first Resident Director of Rountree Commons. Prior to moving to Rountree, I served in Melcher Hall for five years and both Melcher and Morrow Halls last year.
