What is the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Scholars Program?

The STEM Scholars program is a five-year program funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) starting in Fall 2010.  The program annually awards 10 renewable scholarships of approximately $3,800 to incoming freshman or transfer students, increasing the group to 40 students in years four and five.  Eligible students must select a major offered in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science (EMS), demonstrate academic excellence, and show financial need.  This program crosses STEM disciplines within the College of EMS by building a strong network through various group activities.
