The Markee Pioneer Student Center provides contact tables to:

  • Registered student organizations
  • University departments and organizations
  • Community service organizations

Available by reservation for:

On Campus Information

  • For the purpose of informing the campus community of events, activities, or issues related to the mission and purpose of the sponsoring organization.
  • Limited to Registered Student Organizations and University Departments
  • Rental Charge: $0


On Campus Sales

  • For the purpose of University fund raising. Fund raising approval must granted prior to use.
  • For the purpose of selling tickets to university sponsored events and activities.
  • Limited to Registered Student Organizations and University Departments
  • Limit of ten days per semester
  • Rental Charge: $0


Off Campus Information

  • For the purpose of informing the campus community of service learning opportunities that promote the campus and local community. No sales may take place.
  • Limited to Community Service/Non-Profit Organizations
  • Limit of five days per semester
  • Rental Charge: $0


Off Campus Employers

  • For the purpose of providing student employment and career employment opportunities.
  • Student Employment vendors must be approved and sponsored by the Financial Aid/Student Employment Office.
  • Rental Charge: $25 per table per day
  • Career Employment vendors must be approved and sponsored by the Career Center.
  • Rental Charge: $0


Off Campus Direct Sales (Clothing, Jewelry, etc.)

  • For the purpose of providing unique and different items for sale that are not available for sale on campus or in the local community.
  • Vendors must be sponsored by a registered student organization.
  • Fund raising approval must granted prior to use.
  • Limit ten days per semester
  • Rental Charge: $25 per table per day
  • Charges must be paid in advance

Contact Tables Policies

  • The Student Centers reserves the right to screen all material for content and appropriateness to the academic mission of the university and role of the college union.
  • Time, place, and manner will be considered prior to approval of contact table use.
  • Items may not be sold that directly compete with items available in other areas of the Markee Pioneer Student Center. The University Bookstore and University Dining Services have exclusive rights.
  • Vendors may be asked to present samples of items they wish to sell, solicit, or make available to the campus community.
  • Items deemed contrary to the university mission will not be permitted.
  • Fund raising and/or solicitation for donations by student organizations require approval from the Pioneer Involvement Center and University Advancement.
  • Contact Table reservation requests must be received by the Event Reservations office at least 48 hours in advance of the requested date. If applicable, payment must be received prior to use.
  • A maximum of four (4) tables (60"x18") are available in the designated table areas in Heritage Hall.
  • Only one (1) table may be reserved in advance. Use of the remaining three tables may be available day of. Check with the Information Center regarding availability.
  • Other areas, such as the Markee Northwest Patio, may be utilized for vending with permission from the Event Reservations office.
  • The Markee Pioneer Student Center is not responsible for storage or security of informational displays, fund raising materials, and/or vendor items or equipment.
  • Organizations may not restrict the natural flow of traffic and must remain in the designated area.
  • Organizations may not directly approach university community members and must remain in the designated table area.
  • The sponsoring organization must be identifiable at table by sign or other visible means no smaller than eight and half by eleven (8.5" x 11").
  • Organizations must comply with UW-Platteville and Markee Pioneer Student Center policies.
  • Vendors found not following the Markee Pioneer Student Center Vending Policy will be ask to leave and forfeit all monies paid for vending table space. Vendors may be denied future vending space and/or use of the Markee Pioneer Student Center facilities.
  • The Student Centers reserves the right to deny service to organizations that have violated reservation policies or are not in good standing with the University until privileges have been reinstated by the Director of Student Centers or their designee.

Make a Reservation

  • University groups may use Web Reservations to request facility use. If you do not have an account, you will be asked to create one before you can submit a request.
  • Non-university groups are asked to e-mail or call us about facility use.
