Parking Options

Visitor Parking Permits

One day visitor permits may be purchased through the University Police Department, at the Information Desk in the Markee Pioneer Student Center, or at the Box Office in Ullsvik Hall. More details are available on the University Police website.

Residence Hall Students

For the fall of 2012, two different permits will be available to students living in the residence halls. Each permit will provide access to parking in lots that are located closest to the group of Residence Halls listed.

• A Northern Residence Hall Parking Permit will be available for students living in Brockert, Dobson, Hugunin, McGregor, Melcher, Morrow, Pickard, Porter, and Wilgus Halls.
• A Southern Residence Hall Parking Permit will be available for students living in Southwest Hall and Rountree Commons.

Commuter Permit

Commuter permits may be purchased by students not living in the residence halls. Commuter permits provide access to parking in lots designated for commuter use as indicated on the campus parking map.

Faculty/Staff Permit

University employees may purchase permits which allow parking in designated Faculty/Staff lots as indicated on the campus parking map.

Remote Parking

New in the fall of 2012, UW-Platteville will be offering permits for several remote parking lots which will be located a moderate distance away from many of the academic buildings on campus. One group of remote parking lot spaces will be located in the Memorial Plaza (Piggly Wiggly) parking lot near downtown Platteville, and the other remote parking lot will be located next to Memorial Park off of Greenwood Avenue. Permits for these lots will be available to anyone eligible for a regular long-term parking permit. Further details will be made available in the summer of 2012.

Motorcycle/Moped Permit

A separate motorcycle and moped parking permit is available which allows for parking in designated stalls in some parking lots. Mopeds/motorcycles may only park in a moped/motorcycle parking stall in a lot designated by your parking permit.
