Gallant Knight Limousine UW-Platteville Shuttle

Gallant Knight Limousine, Inc. operates a shuttle service from Platteville to Madison that is designed for those making a weekend trip to Madison or beyond. The shuttle picks up at the Glenview Commons building on the UW-Platteville Campus on Friday afternoon and makes two stops in Madison. A return trip is made on Sunday evening from the same two Madison locations.

Lamers Bus Service

UW-Platteville is served by a regional bus route operated by Lamers Bus Lines from Dubuque to Madison. The service makes daily stops on the UW-Platteville Campus at the Markee Pioneer Student Center and connects Platteville with Madison, Verona, Mount Horeb, Dodgeville, and Dubuque. In Madison passengers can connect with additional busses to reach destinations all over Wisconsin. Fare discounts are available for students and seniors.

Looking for a ride home for the weekend? Want to find someone to share the cost of gas with for the trip? Check out the ride share board in the Markee Pioneer Student Center. The ride share board is located across from the Pioneer Perk on the second floor near the Information Center.

Amtrak

The nearest Amtrak station is located approximately two hours away in Columbus, WI, with additional stops in La Crosse, Tomah, Wisconsin Dells, Portage, and Milwaukee for the same Amtrak train. Another option is the Amtrak station located in Galesburg approximately 2 ½ hours away. In addition, an Amtrak bus from Madison provides a direct connection to Chicago Union Station to access a wide variety of intercity passenger trains.
